Rare is not guaranteed
Each hatch is independent
The chance of at least one success in N hatches is 1 - (1 - rate)^N. A 1% pet still has only a 63% chance after 100 hatches, not a guarantee.
Plan before you grind
Use the 90% and 99% targets to decide if a pet is worth chasing, then send it through the weight and ability calculators before you trade for it instead.
