Weight guide
Grow a Garden pet weight mechanics explained
Understand why a pet's weight and age can change trade pressure, then use the calculator before judging a high-value offer.
Player answer first
Start with the player decision, then check sources, safety notes and tool links before you act in game.
Core idea
Weight changes how players compare the same pet.
A pet with the same name can be judged differently when its weight, age or mutation state is unusual. Players often pay attention to heavier pets because they can feel harder to replace, easier to show off, or useful in weight-based strategies. That does not make weight an official price. It means weight is a premium that should be compared against rarity, demand and availability.
The weight calculator turns that premium into a visible estimate. Start with the pet, enter the visible weight and age, then add any mutation or buff that affects the offer. If the result moves a lot, open the WFL checker and compare the full trade instead of accepting based on one impressive number.
Age
Older pets can carry extra demand, especially when the pet is already rare.
Weight
Weight is most useful for comparing two copies of the same pet.
Mutation
Some pet mutations add visible premiums, but stale values should be reviewed.
Availability
A live event pet and an archived event pet can behave very differently in trades.
Pets where weight context matters
These entries are not a final ranking. They are the pets most likely to send players into the weight calculator because their ability text, event role or trade demand makes the weight question useful.
